Welcome to Beyond The Bark LLC. We are dedicated to delivering compassionate, science-based dog training services rooted in positive reinforcement and behavior consulting. The following terms and policies are intended to establish clear expectations, promote safety, and ensure a respectful, collaborative working relationship.
a. This agreement applies to all services provided by Beyond The Bark LLC, including:
i. Private lessons
ii. Day training
iii. Behavior modification
iv. Group classes
a. All appointments must be booked and paid for online.
b. Cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will incur a non-refundable $25 fee.
c. No-shows are not eligible for refunds.
d. If Beyond The Bark LLC refers the client to another professional, any unused, prepaid sessions will be refunded in full.
a. Full payment is required at the time of booking for all private lessons and consultations.
b. Refunds for service packages, lessons, or group classes are issued at the sole discretion of Beyond The Bark LLC.
a. Clients agree to use only positive reinforcement-based training methodologies, as directed by Beyond The Bark LLC.
b. The following tools are strictly prohibited:
i. Electronic collars, including but not limited to: e-collars, shock collars, vibration collars, citronella collars, and invisible fence collars
ii. Prong or “Sprenger” collars (metal or plastic)
iii. Choke chains, check chains, and slip leads
c. Clients agree to follow the training plan provided by Beyond The Bark LLC.
d. Clients agree to complete all assigned training homework and exercises.
a. All dogs must be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations as required by Virginia, D.C., and Maryland laws.
b. For group classes, dogs over six (6) months must have current Rabies, Distemper, and Parvo vaccinations and be free of contagious illnesses and internal parasites.
c. Clients must disclose any history of aggression or biting for any dogs in the household.
a. Clients agree to follow all safety protocols as instructed by Beyond The Bark LLC.
b. This includes during training sessions on the client’s property, in the neighborhood, or at a designated training location.
c. Clients acknowledge that training outcomes are not guaranteed.
d. Clients agree to release and hold harmless Beyond The Bark LLC from any liability for injury to people, animals, or property during or after training sessions.
a. Photos or videos may be taken of clients’ dogs for training or promotional use.
b. Clients may opt out of media use by providing written notice.
c. Client information will be kept confidential and will not be shared without written consent, unless required by law.
a. Beyond The Bark LLC reserves the right to terminate services without refund if:
i. Clients fail to follow safety instructions or knowingly place their dogs in unsafe or historically triggering situations.
ii. Clients fail to follow training plans despite collaborative efforts.
iii. Clients begin or continue to use prohibited training tools outlined in Section 4.
a. By scheduling services with Beyond The Bark LLC, clients confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by all policies and procedures outlined in this agreement.
