Each Support Session includes a thorough review of the dog’s challenging behavior, practical management strategies, and customized training or behavior modification plans tailored to each dog and household.

For families considering surrender, our Support Sessions gather a thorough behavioral history and develop a training or management plan to support the dog and their family through the surrender process. This information also helps HTAR staff find a safe and appropriate foster or adoptive home.

We also provide on-going education in canine behavior and communication to Homeward Trails staff, strengthening their ability to support dogs at the Trails Home Farm and improve the quality of life for all the dogs in our care.
